A heartfelt thank you to Cheryl as she ends her season at RISE

RISE has been so blessed by Cheryl Lindquist’s leadership as Executive Director for the past 7 years. She led the centre through a pandemic, grew our staff team to include a Community Engagement Coordinator and successfully won over $250k in grant funding for the Centre. Grants fill vital centre needs and have expanded our capacity to provide holistic support to women and families before, during and after unintended pregnancy. Cheryl leaves us with robust policies and procedures, a strong team, and a great reputation in our community. Cheryl will be moving on from RISE this summer as she plans to relocate with her family to beautiful British Columbia!

Join us in welcoming Kerri McIntosh as RISE’s Interim Executive Director

Kerri recently completed a 14 month grant-funded project at RISE. Kerri brought with her a deep understanding of intercultural ministry and a passion for supporting families so that they can thrive! She is a familiar face to our clients, volunteers and partners. Kerri is already acquainted with the day to day happenings at the Centre. She is uniquely qualified to step into the role of Interim ED and lead RISE through the transition to a new permanent Executive Director.

Our Board of Directors have formed a Hiring Committee that will meet over the summer. We are expecting to post the permanent Executive Director opportunity in the fall.
